Man hört schon aus der Ferne die Fanfare posaunen, Pferdehufe schlagen hart auf das Pflaster und werden geführt von der Freiheit, die die Tricolore schwingt. Spätestens jetzt weiß man: Die Franzosen kommen! Sie haben die Grenzen des Elsass passiert und werden diesen Samstag (07.01.12) bis nach Kreuzberg vordringen, wo sie schon sehnsüchtigst im Ritter Butzke erwartet werden. Mitgebracht haben sie Tonnen von Konfetti und elektronische Chansons, die von den französischen Invasoren Mr. Flash, Miimo, Oblast und vielen mehr bei der Ex!t-Party unter die hungrige Meute gebracht werden. Es wird also bunt, laut und exzessiv, so wie wir es schon viele Male auf dieser wilden Partyreihe erlebt haben. Knarzige Electrobeats treffen auf einschlagende Indietunes, die unter anderem von den Ex!t-Residents Turbotobi und Wasted Ruffians aus den Turntables gekitzelt werden. Wie das genau aussehen wird? Feste soll man feiern wie sie fallen! Und natürlich ordentlich begießen…vor allem, wenn es einen so äußerst dekadenten Anlass wie diesen Freitag (06.01.12) gibt. Der werte Pierre von MitVergnügen, der nicht nur durch sein charmantes und hyperaktives Wesen glänzen kann und nebenbei noch Clubbetreiber und Eisdielenbesitzer ist, lädt zum siebten Male ein seinen einpaarundreißigsten Geburtstag zu feiern. Er ist nicht nur im Herzen jung geblieben, auch sein Äußeres verspricht immer noch einen jugendlichen Teint. Seinen Beinamen “Populär” verdient er zurecht, denn der junge Mann ist eine Feier-Koriphähe wie sie im Buche steht! Wer also seinen Dauerkater nach Silvester noch ein wenig festigen und seine Tanz-Kraft und Knutsch-Ausdauer trainieren will, der ist herzlichst auf ein Stück Schokotorte mit Wodka ins What?! eingeladen zur Pierreversion #7. Am Samstag ist es nun so weit…der Tag, den so keiner recht kommen lassen wollte und wir bereits mit einem tränenden Auge entgegen gesehen haben, steht vor der Tür. Das Icon, unser geliebtes Wohnzimmer, lädt zum allerletzten Male in seine heimischen Hallen ein und nimmt mit uns nicht nur Abschied vom Jahre 2011, sondern es wird auch Lebewohl gesagt von 15 grandiosen Jahren mit unserer großen Liebe. Leidenschaft für gute elektronische Musik, unvergessliche Stunden und süße Erinnerungen mit Freunden und der Feiermeute wurden hier geprägt. Ein Ort, an dem man sich immer Zuhause gefühlt hat und man nie gehen wollte, wenn die Lichter bereits wieder angegangen sind. Scheiden tut weh, aber wie sagt man so schön: Nur wahre Liebe hält ewig!Icon, du bleibst unvergessen und in unseren Herzen! Einige Djs haben die Ehre, sich ein allerletztes Mal hinter die Plattenspieler am 31.12.11 zu stellen und uns einen denkwürdigen Abschied zu bescheren. Neben D.I.M. von Boysnoize Records sind unsere Residents The Sexinvaders und Marvin Suggs mit von der Partie. Ihre Musik ist dem vielfachen Icon-Gänger mehr als bekannt, deswegen schmieren wir uns heute ein wenig Schmalz auf die Stulle und werden ein bisschen sentimental mit herzzerreißenden Tönen:

WAS FÜR EIN JAHR! Bei Pink-Pong hat sich viel getan. Neue DJs und eine DJane, neue Blogger, neuer Club-Fav und vieles mehr. Es wurde viel geschuftet, gedreht, gefeiert, geackert und gelebt! Das Ergebnis von zweieinhalb Jahren Arbeit sieht und spürt man in jeder Faser der Professionalität der Webpräsenz, DJ-Auswahl und Image. Auch wenn es in 2011 kleine neonbunte Kindergeburtstags-Ausrutscher gab und somit die Ü25-Stampfer mehr als eine Augenbraue hoben, so lernt Pink-Pong jedoch sehr gern dazu um eingefleischte Stammtänzer nicht zu vergraulen und Herzenselectronicer hinzu zu gewinnen.

Over two months ago it started with an invasion of the french (check the blogpost here). Now they make their arrival on the Berlin scene perfect with an electro rave at Club Gretchen once again and show the underground-kids how they do it in the land of baguette and fromage! On friday, the 30th of december, Les Petits Pilous will invite you to go wild infront of their turntables and will convince the party crowd of their bass-packed DJ-skills just as countless times before. The younkers even established their reputation by signing at Boysnoize Records and remixing tracks of well-known artists just as Justice, Goose or D.I.M. Get an idea of their qualities here:
Bouncing sounds and smashing vibes will make the citizens of Berlin forget about their Currywurst with Pommes “red-white” at Curry36 and lead them around the corner to the place where unforgettable moments on the dancefloor will be made. it started almost 2 decades ago when he discovered his passion for sample experiments and club sounds. now lars moston, a british-german dj and producer, enters the club charts frequently with tracks like “too much party time” or “organik”. he has been big in the game as the duo moston & malente as well but tonight (saturday the 17th of december) he will be djing at dumme jungs at gretchen berlin as solo artist. and if you want to find out more about his personal point of view on certain topics check out this interview of our series: “pink-pong with pink-pong”. as we already told you the last time: these question are not revolutionary, but these are six well choosen questions to show our readers who this guy is and what he wants. #1 – the standard question: why did you choose this name as your artist name? well, that’s an easy one… it’s my name!
#2 – the musical background question: when and why did you start with music? i started messing around with the octamed tracker on my amiga at a young age around 1992. i got an 8bit sampler thing for it and would spend days sampling random stuff off TV or any sources i could get my hands on and would make very silly tracks with those sounds. I got into djing around 94/95 and that made those early sample experiments go more in the direction of club tracks. #3 – drastic live experience: what was the best live experience, what was the worst? there have been many highlights. one of my favourite memories is playing at fusion festival alongside malente. it was in the afternoon and when we started there was just a handfull of people playing football. within the first hour there was something like 2000 people going crazy in the heat. the fire brigade helped out too, cooling off the crowd with a hose. of course there has been shitty gigs too, but I prefer not to remember those. i had a very unpleasant moment in kiev once when I took a big swig of methylated spirits from what looked like a bunch of water bottles stacked under the dj table…yum.
#4 – artists to love and to forget: who ist he most overated artist at the the moment and who is the most underrated artist? i don’t like to point fingers, but I suppose anyone who got big just by using their status as a rich promoter or something like that, rather than musical talent, would have to be called overrated.
there are many underrated artists of course and the competition is huge now that anyone can get the tools needed for producing pretty much for free. but in most cases, anyone who makes really fantastic music will get heard one way or the other.
#5 – future music: what is your idea of the sound for the dancefloors in the future? is there anything revolutionary to come in the near future? i don’t see any huge revolutions happening just yet. maybe at some point new technology will spark off something truly revolutionary. for now, i am enjoying the trend of many artists getting more housey and tracks getting a bit slower and more musical. the ravey thing was great fun for a while too, but there is much more interesting stuff out there now i feel. i hope more clubs will get their priorities right in future, meaning a really good sound system, without which a lot of these interesting tracks simply don’t work on the dancefloor.
#6 – your future: what´s happening with you in the next months? i am currently working on my next solo ep for no brainer records as well as new tracks with malente, ben mono and teenage mutants. there are a couple of remixes coming out very soon as well, for dro & lodzy from france, smalltown djs from canada and for teenage mutants (coming out on moveltraxx, one of my favourite labels).
