Since the release of his 2001 debut Infinite Love Songs, Maximilian Hecker and his ballads have become an indispensable part of Berlin, like a television tower for the broken-hearted.
His life has changed quite much since the early 2000s, he became incredibly sucessful in Asia during the last years, and also started writing songs for chinese and taiwanese postars like Faith Yang and Waa.
Besides all the touring and all the glamour, returning to Berlin, he went into the very opposite direction, grew himself a beard and recorded a whole album in his living room, which he named I am Nothing But Emotion, No Human Being, No Son, Never Again Son, a very stripped-down, personal inventory of his career so far, which, with You’ll Come Home Again, even has one of the greatest tracks on it, he has ever written.
But for we are very visual kids we’re even happier now to hear that he just did a video for his singe Court My Eyes Alone, directed and produced by Ken-Tonio Yamamoto and Daniela Haitzler, shot on some of Maximilians most favorite hang-out-spots, noodle restaurants and lounges like the one we all know at Schiffbauerdamm.
Ready for some love?
