But so does the belgian dj-duo Mumbai Science with a wide span of creativity, ingenuity and novelty for their hard-hitting electro-indie-techno-sound. It’s only two years ago that the two guys were signed on Lektroluv Records and got picked up by acts just as Boys Noize, 2manyDjs or TIGA with their tracks “Ancova“, “Gold” or “Lotus“. This friday (06.04.12) they pay a visit to Berlin’s Club Gretchen all together with their dutch fellow Bart B More. The founder of Secure Recordings will showcase his love for beat-driven, looped techno music with big room house and electro that no one can escape! It is not without reason that he already traveled the world to prove his skills at festivals und numerous clubs and now he comes back to Germany supported by SchmitzKatze and Marvin Suggs!

Eine Odyssee durch die verschiedensten Stilrichtungen des Golden Age Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, Disco & Bass erwartet euch diesen Freitag (30.03.12) im trauten Gretchen auf der Birdy Nam Nam Aftershow Party. Und zu diesem Anlass packen wir unsere funkelnden Tanzschuhe und rüschenbesetzten Kleider aus dem Schrank, um zum Birthday Ball gemeinsam mit Marc Hype, Runex und anderen zu schwofen. Seit 17 Jahren feiern die beiden alljährlich ihren Birthday Bash und laden sich dazu Gäste wie Sabrina Golian und Hunnicutt. Wer in der Lage ist, den Sonnenschein mit seiner Musik in Flaschen abzufüllen, der muss ein wahrer Meister sein, der die spezielle musikalischen Formel für eine positive Lebenseinstellung nicht nur in seinem Herzen, sondern auch in seinen Beats trägt.
Schon seit über zwei Dekaden spinnt DJ E.A.S.E. aka Nightmares on Wax zeitlose Tunes wie zum Beispiel auf seiner LP “In A Space Outta Sound“. Diese sind von einer tiefen Liebe zu Genres wie Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, Reggae und Jazz geprägt und lassen sich in einer Verschmelzung mit sorgsam reduzierter Elektronik zu einer eleganten Lässigkeit vereinen.

Dabei lässt der frühere B-Boy mit dem Goldzahnlächeln diesen Freitag (23.03.12) zusammen mit DJ FOOD im Gretchen nicht nur sexy Dubklänge durch seine Finger gleiten, sondern wird ein Dj-Set in bester Wax-Manier von den Turntables zaubern. In the Netherlands they have long since made a name for themselfs and played on Holland’s biggest festivals just as Mysteryland, Bevrijdingspop and many more. Next month Henzel & Disco Nova finally find their way to the beautiful city of Berlin to make the turntables glow at a Pink-Pong Night at Gretchen. Hopefully the two djs and producers from Amsterdam will drop the lines of their latest EP “Gimme 5” released on Bart B More‘s label Secure Recordings. It is not without good reason that acts like TOCADISCO, Sound of Stereo, TAI and D.I.M. pledged their full support and MSTRKRFT and Robbie Rivera say that it’s dope! These guys are only playing with electro sounds for three years now and already launched some really thrilling remixes for Daft Punk‘s “Technology” or Cassius‘ “I Love you so“. You can get both remixes for free, just check the soundcloud-links below.


The two members of the creative collective VAgE gASTEN know how to get parties started and finished as they would say and we are already excited to welcome Henzel & Disco Nova on the 13th of march at Gretchen. So expect a new DJ show and a lot of remixes and originals in 2012. -this is FUTURE

Diesen Freitag (16.03.12) fallen wir aus allen Wolken, denn ein belgischer Dj setzt mit lauter Indie-und Electro-Tunes im Gepäck vorm Club Gretchen zur Landung an. Aeroplane beflügelt mit seinem Electro-Disco-Sound nicht nur die Füße zum Tanzen, sondern versetzt uns einen Adrenalinkick wie beim Starten Richtung Himmel. Mit Remixen für die starke Grace Jones oder Friendly Fires‘ “Paris” (checkt den Link unten) hat er einiges an Kerosin verbraucht, um in ferne Lande geholt zu werden, wo er seinen Sound gemeinsam mit seinem ehemaligen DJ-Partner The Magician durch diverse Clubs dröhnen ließ.

Mit seinem Debütalbum “We can’t Fly” hat Aeroplane seine Flügel noch weiter ausgebreitet und einen ganz eigenwilligen Sound kreiert, den er nun diesen Freitag gemeinsam mit Prins Thomas, Jazzanova und Delfonic zum Besten gibt.
