It’s been only a year since BNR Trax has been hatched from the egg and it is still spick and span! Eleven lovely releases can be registered for label-chef Alex Ridha and another one is already on its way. Looks like a big happy familiy and new blood will move up unstoppable. But so far he rallied round BNR Trax 01-10 and put the best from the first decade on vinyl and CD plus in a digital version including seven more tracks! And this new-born baby must be celebrated! So we’ll meet at Club Gretchen this friday (24.02.11) for a festive ceremony in which relatives like Shadow Dancer, Bobmo and Audionite will shake things up. Get ready for practicing your hip swing with tracks like “Calcium” by Strip Steve & Das Glow or Para One‘s “Animal Style“.

A man who likes sushi and produces wicked electro tunes at the same time sounds perfectly to match into our growing Pink-Pong family. Beyond that this guy is from Switzerland, so he can provide us with tasty chocolate and fresh alpine air! But in fact the winsome Ryan Riot from Zurich has even more on the ball. He is a great remixer, who already worked for You love her coz she’s dead, and produces “Indie-Dance-Music” just as his latest EP Kiss Kiss Bang Bang on Satan’s Circus Records.


Last year he treaded the boards alongside with our guys from The Sexinvaders, Fukkk Offf, Boys Noize and many more at the Streetparade in Zurich and even further top-class djs are on his already-played-with-list. He showcased his skills once again in our monthly Pink Tapes series for which he made a mixtape in January (check it HERE). So we are already excited about the near future and what’s there next to come! But one thing is sure: We support this gentle young guy at full power! im rausch mit freunden

Dies geht an alle Freunde des unaufhaltsamen Glücks!…wie die zwei Herren von Schluck den Druck so schön sagen würden. Und sie haben Recht, denn diesen Freitag (10.02.11) erwarten uns glückverheißende Stunden gemeinsam im Rausch mit Freunden in den weiträumigen Gefilden des Ritter Butzkes. Zum Abschluss einer wilden Wintertour wird noch einmal die Hüpfburg aufgeblasen und zum Freudentaumel und Gleichgewicht verlieren geladen.
Zusammen mit 44 DJs und Live-Acts wird in vollster Pracht gehoppst was das Zeug hält! Auch aus unseren eigenen Reihen lassen es sich nicht The Sexinvaders (nur Sonne), SchmitzKatze, Frag Maddin und Beatelic nehmen hinter den Reglern zu schwitzen. Großartig geht es weiter mit K-Paul, David Dorad und aUtOdiDakT und vielen weiteren, die wundervolle Melodien spinnen und die Gunst jeder holden Maid gewinnen.

Auch mit ekstatischen Live-Performances von den Gastgebern Schluck den Druck und den Indie-Klängen von The Drakes dürfen wir beglückt werden. Also Freunde, die Mische macht’s! Kommt tanzen!

Wie die Zeit schon wieder verflogen ist! Es liegt nun schon fast ein halbes Jahr zurück, dass uns DER Londoner Indie-/Electro-DJ in Berlin besucht hat. Doch dieses Mal müssen wir uns dicke Stiefel und Mäntel anziehen und mit der U1 oder U6 ins tiefe Kreuzberg fahren, denn am Samstag, den 28. Januar 2012, wird der feine Herr Alkan dem Gretchen ordentlich einheizen.
Erol Alkans Dj-Set hatte schon in unserem alten Wohnzimmers Icon jeden Raver zum dehydrieren gebracht und die Tanzausdauer durch Tracks wie “Lemonade” (siehe unten) auf die Probe gestellt.

Nun wird er es ein weiteres Mal wagen, die Hallen seines Labels Phantasy Sound verlassen, die Nordsee überqueren und schließlich durch den Eingangspavillion des Gretchens wandern. An seiner Seite hat er seinen Landsmann und ehemaligen Trash-Resident Rory Phillips, der für ausgefallene Remixe unter anderem für The XX, Digitalism und Gossip steht.

Just imagine: All the way down the “Pacific Coast Highway” in your Ferrari Testarossa, wearing a pink shirt and Ray Ban’s “Wayfarer” and listening to Pia Zadora’s “When the rain begins to fall” on the radio…then you know how Sonny Crockett must have felt cruising through Miami in the 80′s.
Now back into the future! There is one man that is reviving the 80′s-manner with funky discohousebass plus retro visuals and will head to Gretchen Berlin on saturday the 21st of January via time leap. Kavinsky, the french teddy boy amongst the djs, will unpack his disks and lay down a dj-set that even video game freaks will be delighted. Especially when he is dropping his track “Testarossa Autodrive” remixed by SebastiAn, known from GTA IV.

Both acts have already been touring together alongside with Daft Punk in 2007. This time Kavinsky gets support by our Pink-Pong’s finest Marvin Suggs and The Sexinvaders, who made a floating remix of Kavinsky‘s track “Nightcall”. We are glad to announce that we are going to celebrate our first little jubilee these days! On the 13th of January in 2012 we dropped our fifth release on Pink-Pong-Records. The French House-Dj Play Paul and the multi-talented Markus Lange put their skills together and what came out is their catchy EP “Ufo 1985” including the original track and various remixes by Ostblockschlampen, Maxcherry, Marvin Suggs, Super Super and The Sexinvaders!
